Context

Nesta is a single place where estate residents can track bills, hire artisans, manage visitors, and stay connected with their neighborhood.

I led brand strategy & product design from 0→1 for the resident-facing mobile app, the estate managers’ dashboard, and the mobile portal for security guards.

Naming

A nest represents a home or community where residents feel secure and at ease. This app aims to enhance the residential experience by providing tools and features that contribute to a sense of security, ease and comfort within the estate.

Just as a nest provides shelter and belonging, the "Nesta" app fosters a genuine sense of community among residents.

Challenge

Estate living in Nigeria is deeply fragmented:

Payment friction: Residents struggle to stay up-to-date with bills and management dues.
Poor communication: Keeping track of estate activities and announcements is difficult.
Unreliable services: Finding and hiring trustworthy artisans is a constant, tedious effort.
Outdated security: Visitor tracking and gate access still rely on slow and vulnerable paper logbooks.
Slow emergency response: Critical situations lack a coordinated, estate-wide system.

My Approach

My goal was to hide the everyday complexity of estate living and make the community experience feel effortless. I treated the resident app like a premium consumer product – it had to feel beautiful, intuitive, and delightful to use.

For estate managers and security guards, the approach flipped completely: zero distractions, pure utility. The entire system was designed so an admins could master it on day one.
